In the south of Spain, where I grew up, there are many reminders of the Islamic invasion, some of them in the form of tiles with geometric designs of known Islamic patterns. Those tiles are bi-dimensional and by studying them and using 3D printing technology, I have been able to translate those bi-dimensional designs into 3-dimensional sculptures.
